At EVO 2023, SNK just announced The King of Fighters XIII Global Match release date for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. This version will feature rollback netcode and improved online functions. The King of Fighters XIII is currently available on PS3 and Xbox 360 on the console side, while being playing on Xbox One and Xbox Series through backward compatibility. This will likely get a physical release in all regions. Code Mystics is confirmed to not be handling this one. The developer has done fantastic work with SNK’s games so far. Hopefully this release is as good as the high quality work we have seen from Code Mystics despite it not handling this title.
It is going to be interesting to see what comes next. I was sure KOF 13 might be left behind, but this is great news since there is no native way to play it on PS4, PS5, or Switch right now.
