Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak starting requirements
To be able to begin Sunbreak, you need to have completed the Serpent Goddess of Thunder 7* quest and you need to have obviously purchased the Sunbreak expansion DLC on Switch or Steam.
How To Start Sunbreak DLC in Monster Hunter Rise
Once downloaded the big update for it and completed the quest mentioned above, you need to talk to Rondine who is waiting for you at the Kamura village entrance.
How to unlock Master Rank quests in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak and begin the Sunbreak questline
You can talk to Master Utsushi to get the quest to hunt a Daimyo Hermitaur. This large monster appeared for the first time in the Shrine Ruins. Once you finish your first quest to hunt a Daimyo Hermitaur in the Shrine Ruins and watch the cut-scenes, you will be taken to Elgado. At this point, the hub quest line will be temporarily unavailable and it will change to the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak questline. You will unlock your first Master Rank quest here.
You have now successfully unlocked and begun the Sunbreak expansion. Hopefully you enjoy it like I did over the last month.
How to go back to Kamura from Elgado outpost in Sunbreak
If you want to go back to Kamura, talk to Collen the Sailor at the Market or use the World Map.
